Obituary of Deborah Ladue

Deborah Mirse Ladue COLUMBIA: Funeral service for Deborah Mirse Ladue, 63, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, December 17, 2012, in the Chapel of Greenlawn Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, all are welcome to accompany. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials may be made to the Alzheimer?s Association, Palmetto Chapter at P.O. Box 7044, Columbia, SC 29202-7044. Mrs. Ladue, wife of Laurence ?Larry? K. Ladue, Jr., and the daughter of the late Ralph T. Mirse, PhD and Blanche Allen Mirse, passed away Friday, December 14, 2012. Born in Covington, KY, she was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School in New Jersey and a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey. She received her Master?s in Teaching from Columbia College in Columbia, SC. She was a member of the National Education Association and PEO Sorority. Deborah was instrumental in the formation of the Naval Academy Parents Club of South Carolina. She taught school in Richland School District Two at Conder Elementary for over 20 years until her retirement in 2001. Surviving are her husband, Larry, sister, Sally Mirse Zeigler of Rocky Mount, NC, R. Allen Mirse of Franklin, TN, Tyler W. Ladue of Charlotte, NC, Natasha Lambert of Columbia, 3 step children who live in Charleston, Laurence K. Ladue, III, William J. Ladue, Evelyn L. Wells, and 7 grandchildren and 6 nieces and nephews.
