Obituary of Blanche Mabry Jones

JOHNSTON—Funeral services for Blanche Katherine Mabry Jones, 102, of Johnston, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 31, 2012 at Thompson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Danny Swinnea. Entombment will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel. The family will receive friends 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Jones, beloved wife of the late Samuel P. Jones, passed away on Friday, December 28, 2012. Born in Weldon, NC, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Allen Mabry and Jeannie McIlhenny. She was very talented with artwork, an excellent seamstress and loved growing a variety of different flowers. She had a deep faith in God and was a loving wife and mother. Surviving are her daughter, Kathy Bledsoe (Oscar) of Johnston, SC and a sister, Mary Fuller of West Columbia, SC.
