Obituary of Wilma Downs

LEXINGTON: Graveside service for Wilma Kyzer Downs, 71, will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2013, in Bush River Memorial Gardens, officiated by Reuben Olawsky. The family will receive friends following the service at the home of Todd and Beth Minemier. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family. Mrs. Downs passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013. Born in Columbia, SC, she was a daughter of Irene Meetze Kyzer and the late Murray Wilson Kyzer. Surviving is her mother, Irene Meetze Kyzer of West Columbia; her husband, Paul Downs of Hilton; sons, Todd Minemier (Beth) of Irmo and Sean T. Hardin of Gaston; sister, Mary Elizabeth Kennemore of Mayfield, KY; aunt, Bettie Barefoot of West Columbia; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
