Obituary of Muriel Clark

A memorial service for Muriel M. Clark, 89, of Columbia will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 7, 2013 at Christ The King Lutheran Church, 7239 Patterson Road, Columbia, SC 29209. The family will receive friends at the church following the services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ The King Lutheran Church in Muriel?s memory. Mrs. Clark passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2013. She was born in Londonderry, Northern Ireland to the late John Keelty and Adeliade McMahon Keelty. She married Richard Clark in Belfast, Northern Ireland on April 25, 1945 and arrived in America aboard the Queen Mary in 1946. Mrs. Clark became a United States Citizen in March 1956. She was employed by the Census Bureau in Washington, DC, the libraries at several Air Force bases, and the J.B. White Department Store in Columbia. Those left to cherish her precious memories are her husband, Richard Clark; a son, John Clark of Columbia, SC; a daughter, Margaret McCauley and her husband, Tom of Dayton, Ohio; two sisters, Anna Keelty and Adelene King of Lincolnshire, England; two grandchildren, Ryan McCauley and Sean McCauley and his wife Sylvia; a great-great granddaughter, Alexis McCauley; several nieces and nephews that will miss her dearly.
