Obituary of Georgette Stamps

A graveside service celebrating the life of Georgette J. Stamps, 59, of Lugoff will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. Monday evening at Greenlawn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children?s Hospital in Georgette?s memory. On-line condolences may be sent to www.greenlawn-columbia.com. Georgette departed this earthly life on Saturday, January 19, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Baudour, Belgium to the late Marius Foucart and Victoria Lepine Foucart. Those left to cherish her precious memories are her husband of 41 years, Larry D. Stamps; a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and George Smyser; a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Tiffany Stamps; one grandson, Andrew Smyser; one sister, two brothers, a host of other loving relatives and friends that will miss her dearly. Special appreciation is extended to the nursing staff of 8th Averyt at Palmetto Health Baptist Hospital & Kathryn Watson and Cindy Schultz of CCH for their care and support of Georgette during her illness.
