Sharon, Glenn and Al, I'm very sad that I cannot be there tomorrow to show my respect and celebrate Miss Shirley's life. She is a part of me. I am so very blessed that God gave your family to me when I was a child. I learned so many wonderful things from your parents. There were some words of wisdom spoken but mostly it was just observing their everyday life. I just always felt at peace and very loved when I was with them. May you feel God's peace surrounding you during this time. I love you all.

To lose a dad is heartbreaking to lose a mom is to lose a part of yourself. She was always the one kissing away the boo boos and making things better. While our pain is great we know hers is no more. She is celebrating with the angels i Heaven for she has finally made it Home. All those long hard years have paid off.She and uncle Zeb raised three fine children and i know that they will carry on their legacy. Our comfort and love and prayers to out to you through this difficult time.

May God wrpa his loving arms around the Oxendine family and provide them comfort and strength. This is a poem I have always found comfort in, Another leaf has fallen. Another soul has gone. But still we have God's promises in every robin's song. For He is in His heaven and though he takes away, He always leaves to mortals the bright sun's kindly ray. He leaves the fragrant blossoms and lovely forests green and gives us new found comfort, when we on Him we lean. In Chirst, Brenda
