Obituary of Juanita Ellen Shealy

A graveside service celebrating the life of Juanita Ellen Shealy, 93, of Columbia will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2013 in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at Greenlawn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trenholm Road United Methodist Church, 3401 Trenholm Road, Columbia, SC 29204 in Juanita's memory. The family has entrusted Greenlawn Funeral Home with the arrangements Mrs. Shealy went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 31, 2013. She would have been 94 years young on February 5th. Mrs. Shealy was a loving wife to the late Carl Luther Shealy and the mother of Carl D. Shealy and the late Larry P. Shealy. She had two loving daughter-in-laws, Jeannette Shealy and Linda Shealy. Mrs. Shealy was blessed with three wonderful grandchildren, Lori Price, Scott Shealy, and Jamie Montayne. She was also a loving and caring Great-Grandmother to eight great-grandchildren; and a loving aunt to several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Shealy was an active member of Trenholm Road United Methodist Church where she served as the church secretary for several years. She spent her life doing for others and making others feel special. She was a very special lady and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
