Obituary of Glenn Skinner

COLUMBIA—Funeral services for Glenn Barry Skinner, 46, of Columbia, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Burial will follow in Celestial Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be Lt. Phillip Stokes. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2013 at the funeral home. Mr. Skinner was born in Columbia; he was the son of the Carolyn Redmond Skinner and the late Alan Hamer Skinner. He was veteran of the United States Navy. He was employed as a transportation specialist. Surviving are his sister, Tabitha Soderstrom (Brian) of Lexington; brother, Kevin M. Skinner (Angel) of Gaston; nephews, Noah and Elijah both of Gaston, Daniel Soderstrom of Lexington; niece, Alison Soderstrom of Lexington; three special friends, Jennifer, Elizabeth and Alex. He was preceded in death by his father.
