Obituary of SGM Morris Allen Stapleton

A memorial service celebrating the life of SGM Morris Allen Stapleton, U.S. Army (Ret.) will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2013 in Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel full military honors to follow. On-line condolences may be sent to www.greenlawn-columbia.com. On February 24th, 2013, Morris Allen Stapleton left this life to be with God. He passed away after a short illness. He was born in Crab Orchard, Kentucky to the late Robert Stapleton and Helen Adams Stapleton. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth, his son Bernard, daughter-in-law, Martha and two grandsons, Joseph and Cameron. Mr. Stapleton was a veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam conflicts and retired with the rank of Sergeant Major from the United States Army after many years of dedicated service to our country. In his second career, he served as the Records Manager for First National Bank of Maryland before enjoying a long and happy retirement in Columbia, SC.
