Obituary of George D. Manjounes

PORTLAND, ME: George D. Manjounes, 78 of Portland, ME, died Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Providence Hospital, Columbia, SC. He was a son of the late James and Doris (Serelis) Manjounes. George met his wife, Argyro, at a Greek baptism and she said, "He is the most beautiful loving man I have ever met." George was a business consultant and the author of, Good Morning, Morning Glory. His entrepreneurial spirit created the "Good Morning, Morning Glory Coffee Brand," and the "Organization of Amazing Men,"… "Not for Gain of Arrogance, but for a Humble Sophistication." George was a great man that positively influenced people all over the world. George will be missed more than we could ever express. S'Agapo. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Manjounes, formerly of Haverhill, MA. He is survived by his wife, Argyro P. Manjounes, of Portland ME; son, John Manjounes (Cindy), of St. Louis, MO; daughter, D'Ann Valsecchi (Fulvio), of Columbia, SC; two grandchildren, Alexandra and Paulina Valsecchi, also of Columbia. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Friday, March 8, 2013, at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 1910 Main Street, Columbia, SC 29201, with Rev. Michael A. Platanis, officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Greenlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home, Columbia, SC.
