Obituary of Pauline Epitng Prince

CHAPIN: Funeral service for Pauline Epting Prince, 95, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 15, 2013, at the Chapel of Greenlawn Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Mark Bucket. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ The King Lutheran Church, 7239 Paterson Road, Columbia, South Carolina 29209, or the charity of one's choice. Mrs. Prince passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013. Born in Little Mountain, SC, she was a daughter of the late George Irving Epting and Essie A. Chapman Epting. She was a charter member of Christ The King Lutheran Church. She was a retired bookkeeper with 40 years of service with Richland School District #1. Mrs. Prince was also an avid Gamecock fan. Survivors include: daughters, Paula Prince James (Sidney) of Chapin, and Susan Phifer of St. Helena Island; son, Grady E. Prince (Shirley) of Camden, TN; grandchildren, Matthew Phifer (Katie), Chris Phifer, Cynthia Prince, Sherrie Tavaris, Elizabeth James, Jesse James (Candis), Frank James and Tara James; 4 great grandchildren; and a brother, Daniel Epting of Prosperity. Mrs. Prince was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 41 years, Grady Prince.
