Obituary of Franklin Wolford

LEXINGTON: Funeral service for Franklin John "Frank" Wolford, Jr., 54, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 15, 2013, in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, officiated by Rev. Dr. Mark Bredholt. Interment will be at 12 p.m. in Ft. Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice. Mr. Wolford passed away Friday, March 8, 2013. Born in Richmond, VA, he was a son of Franklin J. Wolford, Sr., and Lelia Thompson Wolford. He served his country in the U.S. Army; and worked as an optical lab technician. Frank loved music and played guitar in several bands. Survivors include: his parents of Lexington; sons, Franklin Michael Wolford and Christopher Garrett Wolford both of Lexington; Aunt Rose and Uncle Robert Bennett of The Villages, FL; also many cousins.
