Obituary of Mary Ike Stabler

WEST COLUMBIA: Funeral services for Mary Lee Ike Stabler, 90, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013, in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Interment will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Rd., Greenville, SC 29605. Mrs. Stabler passed away Monday, March 11, 2013. Born in Columbia, SC, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Arthur Ike and Mary Viola Counts Ike. She was a graduate of Olympia High School. Mrs. Stable retired from Hiller Hardware after 15 years of service. She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile of the Arabia Temple. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, William Weston Stabler of West Columbia; sisters, Margie Nolen (Fred) of Chapin, Martha Shirey (Earl) of Gaston and brother, Marion Ike (Marianne) of Summerton. Mrs. Stabler was preceded in death by her son, Westy Stabler, and two sisters, Mildred Ballington and Marilyn Moorer.
