Obituary of Jean Fairhart

Funeral service for Jean B. Fairhart, 83, of Cayce, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2013 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Reverend Dr. Tony A. Metze. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery and Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Mrs. Jean Fairhart, beloved wife of the late George Fairhart, Jr., passed away on Friday, March 15, 2013. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late John Bernasconi and Albertina Antonelli Bernasconi. She was a graduate of the Old Columbia High School and received an Associate Degree from USC. She was a lifetime member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church where she was a Circle #5 leader, kept the nursery and was a member of the John L. Yost Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the sewing group that made pillows for people that were hospitalized in the Columbia area hospitals. Jean, an only child who was married to George, also an only child, was truly blessed to have such a large and loving family. Surviving are her son, David Fairhart and wife Una; daughters, Linda Brock and husband Ronnie; Mary Jean Burroughs and husband Aubrey; and Carol Berenbrok and husband Mark; granchildren Richard, Nick, Heather, Matthew, Nathan, Jessica, Joshua, Jennifer, Charles and Tia; great-grandchildren Will and Hope.
