Obituary of Annie Brogdon

CAYCE: A memorial service for Annie Mae Brogdon, 82, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 22, 2013, in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Inurnment at Celestial Memorial Gardens will be held at a later date. Mrs. Brogdon passed away Monday, March 18, 2013. Born in Miami, FL, she was a daughter of the late Henry Lavene Harris and Delma Loycelle Brown Harris. She was a member of General Federation of Women's Clubs, the Red Hat Society, and the Churchill Heights Neighborhood Association. Survivors include: her daughter, Janet Russell of Denver, CO; sons, Donald Leroy Brogdon (Roxanne) of Pelion and Robert S. Brogdon (Tanya) of Lexington; sister, Hazel L. Baxter of Lakeland, FL; five grandchildren, Laura Anne Sanders of Albuquerque, NM, Kenneth Lee Brogdon of Pelion, Lily Anne Brogdon of Lexington, Tara Borucki of Gaston and Cassie LePine of Charlotte, NC; three great grandchildren; and her close friend, Bobby Sloan of West Columbia. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband Otis L. Brogon, Jr; sisters, Catherine Sindle, Lucy Bennett, Louise Watson and brothers, Milton L. Harris, Marvin H. Harris and Marion Harris.
