Obituary of Louise Baggott Bullard

WEST COLUMBIA: Funeral service for Louise Ella Baggott Bullard, 91, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2013, in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia, officiated by Reverend Dr. Sam Catoe. Interment will follow in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens of Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Regency Hospice, 1611 Hampton St., Columbia, SC 29201. Mrs. Bullard, widow of Raymond Thomas Bullard, Sr., passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at home. Born in Windsor, SC, she was a daughter of the late Claude Prothro Baggott, Sr., and Florrie Redd Baggott. She was a longtime member of Park Street Baptist Church. Mrs. Bullard attended Draughons Business College; and was formerly employed by Swift & Company, Capital City Mfg. Co; and Mepco Electric. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting for her family and friends; and also enjoyed gardening and playing hymns on her keyboard. Survivors include: daughter, Patricia "Patsy" B. Howze (Jesse) of Simpsonville; son, Raymond Thomas Bullard, Jr., of West Columbia; two grandchildren, Brian Lee Howze (Donna) of Cameron and Keith Bullard Howze (April) of Butner, NC; five great grandchildren, Brian Marcus Howze, Amanda Elizabeth Howze, Rachel Lee Howze, Joshua David Howze and Jeffrey Daniel Howze; also numerous loving nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bullard was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 16 years; and siblings, Lois Etta Baggott, Dewey Redd Baggott, Levings E. Baggott and Claude Prothro Baggott, Jr. The family would like to thank her doctors and the staff of Regency Hospice for their loving care, and thank her church, family and friends for their visits, cards and prayers.
