Obituary of Earl Glenn

GASTON: Graveside service for "Gator" Julious Earl Glenn, 80, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013, in Celestial Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice. Mr. Glenn passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013. Born in West Columbia, SC, he was a son of the late Earl Evans Glenn and Maggie Mae Dykes Glenn. He served his country in the Army National Guard, Specialist II. He was retired from Harsco Track and Technology; and was a member of Cayce Moose Lodge. Mr. Glenn loved farming, NASCAR and cigars. Survivors include: his wife, Jean Carolyn Epps Glenn of Gaston; daughter, Cherlyn Glenn Anderson (Rick) of Cayce; brother, Lewie Glenn "Punk" (Jeanette) of Springdale; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Velma Mae Sharpe, and brother, Royce Evans Glenn "Binky".
