Obituary of Johanna A. Reeser

COLUMBIA: Johanna A. Reeser, age 92, died on Wednesday, March 20, 2013. She was born on June 12, 1920 in Bonn, Germany to Johannes Wefers and Sibylla Linden Wefers. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Lt. Col. Robert L. Reeser. After her cremation, she will join her husband in burial at Arlington National Cemetery. After becoming widowed, she moved to Columbia, SC and made Fort Jackson her second home. She is survived by her daughter, Karin Easley and her husband Bill; her son, Alex Reeser; grandson, Michael Doyon and his wife, Amy, granddaughter, Pamela Gates and her husband Gary; three great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made by check to the American Red Cross Volunteer Fund at Fort Jackson, (please specify restricted donation to the volunteer fund) at P.O. Box 10008, Fort Jackson, SC 29207. A private memorial service celebrating the life of Johanna A. Reeser will be held at a later date. Greenlawn Funeral Home is assisting the family of Mrs. Reeser.
