Obituary of Iola Seelbinder

WEST COLUMBIA: Funeral service for Iola Seelbinder, 74, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2013, at Kittiwake Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Tim Sieberhagen. Interment will follow in Woodridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. Friday evening at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Agape Hospice House, 141 Stoneridge Dr., Columbia, SC 29210. Mrs. Seelbinder passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2013. Born in Sumter, SC, she was a daughter of the late Eddie Milo Land and Annie Adelle Mellette Land. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who enjoyed caring for others and cooking for her family and friends. She enjoyed gardening; and was a proud Air Force wife for over 20 years. Mrs. Seelbinder left this world surrounded by her loved ones as peacefully as she lived in it. Survivors include her loving husband of 58 years, Charles J. Seelbinder of West Columbia; daughter, Cathy Seelbinder Patterson of Sumter; son, Gary Seelbinder (Melissa) of Anderson; grandchildren, Dusty Keefe (Kelly Nation) and C.J. Seelbinder, II; sister, Mary Ruth Britt (Ronnie) of Lexington; brother, Harvin Land (Bobbie) of Sumter; brother-in-law, Walt Seelbinder (Pam) of Lexington; sister-in-law, Linda Peters (Dave) of Missouri; several loving nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Holly.
