Obituary of Leonard Ray

COLUMBIA: Leonard Bradley Ray, 81, of Columbia, entered into rest, Sunday, March 31, 2013, at his home. Born July 8, 1931, in Wake Forest, NC, he was a son of the late Ollie and Bessie (Newton) Ray. Mr. Ray retired from the US Army after serving his country for more than 20 years. He fought dutifully in Indochina as well as in Vietnam. He is survived by two daughters, Diane Ray (Tony) and Denise Teague (Earl); son, Alan Ray (Melanie); former wife, Gudrun Brantley (Jim); brother, Willie B. Ray, of North Carolina; granddaughters, Lindsey and Allie Ray; sister-in-law, Macie Ray, of Sumter; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M., on Saturday, April 6, 2013, in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209.
