Obituary of John Harrison

LEXINGTON: Graveside service for John David Harrison, 76, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2013, in Riverside Cemetery, North, SC, officiated by David W. Holmes. The family will receive friends from 12 until 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Mr. Harrison went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 9, 2013. Born in Orangeburg County, SC, he was a son of the late Joe Wallace Harrison, Sr. and Ailene Carr Harrison. He was also predeceased by four sisters and three brothers, including his twin brother James. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Harbor Baptist Church in West Columbia. Mr. Harrison proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and worked as a Printer for most of his career, printing campaign literature for many conservative politicians. He is survived by his sister, Allie Jumper of Greenville, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
