Obituary of Ronald Graham

COLUMBIA—Funeral services for Ronald Joe Graham, 70, of Columbia, will be held at 12 p.m., Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Officiating will be Pastor Robert Helton. Burial will be held at 2 p.m. in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Thompson Funeral Home, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256. Mr. Graham, beloved husband of 42 years to Scarlett Graham, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2013. Born in McCarr, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Robert Herbert Graham and Pearl Elizabeth Graham. He was a retired Veteran of the United States Army after 24 years of loyal service to his country as a medic. He completed five tours of Vietnam and received the Bronze Star Medal with a Valor Device and Combat Medical Badge. He also worked for 15 years at the VA Hospital on Garners Ferry Road as a nursing assistant. Surviving in addition to his wife, Scarlett of Columbia; daughter, Tammy Kyzer (Brian) of Irmo; son, Ronald Roman Graham of Columbia; grandchildren, Amber and Kevin Kyzer and one on the way, Levi Ronald Graham; sister, Sue Bolt (Robert) of Princeton, WV; brother, Thomas Graham of Kimball, WV. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert "Bobby" Graham.
