Obituary of Alicejane Sole Evans

Alicejane Sole Evans of Swansea, S.C. formerly of Carmel, Indiana, passed away April 29, 2013. "Jane" as she was known in the Carmel community was born in Grosse Pointe, Michigan to John and Lillian Dodge on August 5, 1930. She moved to Carmel in 1963 and raised all 6 of her children in the community. She was a hairdresser for over 30 years, and was known for her bright smile and bubbly personality. Upon retiring, Jane moved to Apollo Beach, FL and later settled in Swansea, SC. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, daughter, Janet Beth Sole, husband Charles Evans, and great-granddaughter, Alanna Henley. She leaves behind a legacy of 5 children: Jack (Julie) Sole, Peter (Laurie) Sole, Robert Sole, P. Andrew (Lisa) Sole, Lisa (Andy) Wyckoff, 10 grandchildren, and 13.5 (one on the way) great-grandchildren. Her warmth, kindness, comforting hugs and loving smile will be missed by those who knew and loved her. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 10 a.m. at White River Christian Church, 1685 N. 10th St., Noblesville, IN (www.wrcc.org) with a small reception immediately following at the church.
