Obituary of Larry Dale Stamps

Larry Dale Stamps (U.S. Army, Ret.) Lugoff, SC A graveside service celebrating the life of Larry Dale Stamps (U.S. Army, Ret.), 62, of Lugoff will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Fort Jackson National Cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Greenlawn Funeral Home. Mr. Stamps departed this earthly life on Monday, May 6, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Clayton, Oklahoma to the late George David Stamps and Edna Pearl Bond Stamps. Mr. Stamps retired from the United States Army after 20 years of dedicated service to our country in which he served during the Vietnam War. After retirement from the US Army, Mr. Stamps was employed at the Dorn VA Medical Center and retired after 20 plus years of service. Mr. Stamps was predeceased by his wife, Georgette J. Stamps. Surviving are a loving daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and George Smyser; a loving son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Tiffany Stamps; one grandson, Andrew Smyser; a host of other loving relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.
