Obituary of Gloria Jewel Harrison Faria

COLUMBIA—A Celebration of Life for Gloria Jewel Harrison Faria, 86, of Columbia, will be held at 4:30 p.m., Sunday, May 19, 2013, Columbia First Seventh Day Adventist Church. Officiating will be Pastor Tom Hughes and Pastor Glen Alterman. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m.- 4:30 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to Columbia First Seventh Day Adventist Church, 243 River Chase Way, Lexington, SC 29072 or The American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210. Mrs. Faria, beloved wife of the late Edward C. Faria, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2013. Born in Columbia, SC, she was the daughter of the late William Preston Harrison, Sr. and Evelyn Richie Harrison. She was a member of Columbia First Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was a retired dental assistant. Surviving are her daughters, Bunnie Hagenlocher (Don) of Lexington and Celeste Maginnis of Columbia; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; sister, Dawn Trout of West Columbia; a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward C. Faria, daughter, Beth Akin and three brothers.
