Obituary of Stephen Cort Muszynski

GILBERT: Memorial services celebrating the life of Stephen Cort Muszynski, 36, of Gilbert will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1201 Mohawk Drive West Columbia SC 29169. Reverend Phil Lavender will officiate the service. The family will receive friends prior to the service starting at 2 p.m. at the church. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family. Born February 16, 1977 in Lexington, SC, he was the son of Pete and Diane Muszynski. Stephen enjoyed his home on Lake Murray, fishing from his dock, driving "wide op'n" on his boat, and drinking a cold beer. He was a fun loving outgoing, gentle soul that will be missed by all who knew him. Stephen knew how to give and receive a hug. He was an avid Gamecock football fan and loved his fur baby, Murray. In addition to his parents surviving to cherish his memory are sister, Donna Muszynski; maternal grandparents, Robert and Mary Brewer; aunt, Carol Frye (Dean); nephew, Colby Martin all of West Columbia, SC; niece, Meredith Howard of Folly Beach, SC; cousins, Lesley Kellett (David) of Columbia, SC and Chalice McGee (Will) of N. Augusta, SC. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Julius and Marian Muszynski; and a cousin, Craig McCarter.
