Obituary of Willie Mae Goff

LEXINGTON : Willie Mae "Granny" Goff, 83, of Lexington, entered into Heaven, Sunday, May 12, 2013, at Lexington Medical Center. Born Wednesday, November 20, 1929, in Florence, SC, she was a daughter of the late Rube and Mary Jane (Locklair) Vause. She was a member of Midlands Free Will Baptist Church, and was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Granny adored her family, loved sports and especially watching the gamecocks. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Goff was preceded in death by her husband of more than 20 years, Thomas J. "Pete" Goff; a granddaughter, Allyson Goff, as well as 13 brothers and sisters. She is survived by a son, George M. Goff (Lynn), of Hopkins; granddaughter, Cameron Goff; great grandson, Logan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, in Greenlawn Funeral Home, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209, with Pastor Terry Cagle officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
