Obituary of Jackie L. Bodie

COLUMBIA—Jackie L. Bodie, 70, of Columbia, died May 19, 2013 after an extended illness. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013 at East Columbia Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1213 Hazelwood Road, Columbia, S.C. Greenlawn Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements. He was the son of the late Jack and Lucile Bodie. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Bodie; sons, Lin Bodie (Edna) of West Columbia and Mike Gray of Columbia; daughter, Sonia Carr of Columbia; sisters, Margaret Ballington of Lexington and Marilyn (Gordon) Johnson of Chapin; brother, Dale Bodie of Lexington; three grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by brothers, David Bodie and Mickey Thompson. Jackie spent most of his career in construction as a supervisor.
