Obituary of T. Donald Teague

COLUMBIA—Funeral services for T. Donald "Don" Teague, 78, of Columbia, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel Officiating will be Rev. Franklin D. "Buddy" Morris. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will greet friends from at 2-3 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Teague passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2013. Born in Columbia in 1935, he was the son of the late David Chappell Teague and Sudie Davenport Teague. Don was a former member of College Place United Methodist Church and a present member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. He attended both Clemson University as well as the University of South Carolina. Don retired as an auditor from the South Carolina Dept. of Revenue after 32 years of service. He was very active in the Columbia Kennel Club and was an American Kennel Club licensed Dog Show Judge. He was well known for his breeding of top quality show dogs and Don also was a volunteer for the Richland County Sheriff's Department Region 3. Surviving are his sons, Joseph David Teague "Joe" and wife, Kay of West Columbia, William E. Teague "Bill" and wife, Kristin of Irmo and Michael Teague "Mike" of Columbia; seven grandchildren, Joey Teague, Nichole Teague, Emily Teague, Erin Teague, Elsa Teague, Eva Teague and Peyton Teague; great-grandchildren, Riley, Hayden and Kolten; brother, J. David Teague and wife, Eleanor of Lexington; along with a number of nieces and nephews, and longtime friend, Richie Wiggers of Columbia.
