Obituary of Deeana Joy Mills

LEXINGTON, SC-Deeana Joy Mills, 75, of Lexington, SC, died Friday, June 7, 2013. Born in Flint, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late William and Erma May Meese Lyon. Family has requested memorials to be made in honor of Deeana to the American Cancer Society. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Flint, Michigan. She was a member of Lexington United Methodist Church. Surviving is her husband, John A. Mills of Lexington, SC; daughter, Jan Alyce Mills of The Hague, Holland; son, John A. Mills, Jr. (Kristina) of Lexington, SC; five grandchildren, Evan Mills and Adam Mills of Lexington, SC, Alexa Grimes of London England, Nathan Grimes of Conway, SC and Troy Minnee of The Hague, Holland; sister, Shirley McBride of Flint, MI. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Ann Mills and two brothers, Bill Lyon and Tom Lyon. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, SC is assisting the family.
