Obituary of Robert Carlyle Davis

A memorial service celebrating the life of Robert Carlyle Davis, 68, of Columbia will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Greenlawn Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Terry Cagle officiating with military honors to follow. The family will receive friends from 3:00p.m. until the hour of the service on Wednesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Greenlawn Baptist Church, 6612 Garner's Ferry Road, Columbia, SC 29209 in Robert's memory. On-line condolences may be sent to www.Greenlawn-Columbia.com. Mr. Davis departed this earthly life on Saturday, June 8, 2013. He was born in Columbia, SC to the late Walter James Davis and Fairey Belle Blizzard Davis. Mr. Davis was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps in which he served during the Vietnam War. Surviving are his loving and devoted wife, Mary Geddings Davis; a daughter, Jennifer Davis Truebe; a son, Robert Alexander Davis; two grandchildren, Jamey and Jake Truebe; a brother, Arvil James Davis; and a host of other loving relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.
