Obituary of Alice Edenfield Hardwick

WEST COLUMBIA—Funeral services for Alice Edenfield Hardwick, 89, of West Columbia, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Trinity Baptist Church. Officiating will be Pastor Eddie Coakley, Pastor Larry Sledge and Pastor Gary Farmer. Burial will be private. The family will greet friends at the church following the service. Mrs. Hardwick, beloved wife of the late Fred W. Hardwick, Sr., went to be with the Lord on June 10, 2013. Born on December 6, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Palford Edenfield and Gertrude Taylor Edenfield. She was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church, where she participated in Sunday school and other Church activities for a number of years. Surviving are her son, Freddie Hardwick (Eugenia) of Columbia; granddaughter, Angela Hardwick Brown (Steve) and great-grandchildren, Alex, Phillip and Merideth Brown; sisters, Annette Kelly and Eunice McCoy both of Winnsboro and Kay Brailey of Cocoa Beach, FL; brother, Sam Edenfield of Winnsboro. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Lewis, William, Frank and Marvin Edenfield.
