Obituary of Linda Marlene Starnes

COLUMBIA—A memorial service for Linda Marlene Starnes, 53, of Columbia, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 30, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. The family will greet friends at the funeral home following the service. Ms. Starnes passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2013. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Luther M. Starnes and Nancy E. Shealy. She was a lifelong area resident and she attended Gateway Baptist Church. She loved to read and watch movies. She loved spending time with friends and caring for her children and grandchildren. Surviving are her daughters, Nikki Orchard (Mark) and Jessica Blease (Dantrell); grandchildren, Isaiah Blease, Cameron Williams, Ava Washington and Mason Orchard; sisters, Linda Matthews (Robert), Betty Rooks and extended sisters, Darlene Jacobs and Terry Ayers along with a number of nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
