Obituary of Marlene Joan Boyle

Marlene Joan (Maybush) Boyle, 71, of Columbia, entered into rest, Thursday, June 27, 2013, at Lexington Medical Center. Born Thursday, May 28, 1942, in Rahway, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Charles Harold and Odell Gracie (McClellan) Maybush. Marlene was a member of Shandon Baptist Church and worked for many years as a secretary for Lower Richland High School, East Columbia Baptist Church and Calvary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers. She is survived by her husband, Maurice Keith Boyle, of Columbia; one daughter, Machelle Prater, of Columbia; son, Matthew Boyle (Melinda) of Lexington; brother, H.T. Weirich, of Ft. Myers, FL; and six grandchildren: Justin and Elizabeth Prater; Cayli, Kenna, Mabry and Micah Boyle. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Tuesday, July 2, 2013, in Shandon Baptist Church, 5250 Forest Drive, Columbia, SC 29209, with Reverend Barry Gray officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29229. The family will be receiving friends for one hour prior to the service at church.
