Obituary of Kenneth Glenn Wilkerson

Kenny was born in West Palm Beach FL on March 5, 1959 and died on July 1, 2013. He is survived by his mother, Audrey Liddle, of Lexington SC, his father Carl Wilkerson of North Charleston SC, a brother Greg (Susan) Wilkerson and niece, Samantha, of Columbia SC, and sisters, Carol Wilkerson (Gerrit Hoogenboom) of Prosser WA; Kimberly Robinson of Greenville SC; Hannah Baker (Bill) nephew, Josh (Jessica), and niece, Jordan, of West Columbia SC; Evelyn Taylor (Tim) and niece, Stephanie, of Gilbert SC. He is pre-deceased by his stepmother, Donna Wilkerson and stepfather, Donald Liddle. Kenny (Glenn to his family) was a free spirit who enjoyed life from day-to-day. He played golf and worked for many years as a golf course mechanic. He was a huge auto racing enthusiast. Kenny's friends were a great comfort to him and to his family during his brief battle with cancer. To celebrate his life, the family will have a gathering of friends on Saturday, July 13, 2013, from 3-5 PM at Thompson Funeral Home, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington SC. In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions may be made to Special Olympics Area 7, PO Box 214, Swansea SC 29160 or to the USO, 3250 Airport Blvd Suite 7, West Columbia SC 29172.
