Obituary of Jimmy Branham

GASTON—Funeral services for Jimmy Branham, 64, of Gaston, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Rev. Ed Lynch will officiate. Burial will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Victor Hash, Jim Boyd, Brian Pultorak, Jason Britt, Billy Hawkins and Jeff Britt. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210. Mr. Branham, beloved husband of 46 years to Loretta H. Branham, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2013. Born in Columbia, he was the son of Elizabeth Martin King and the late Paul Cleveland Branham, Sr. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and brother who loved to fish and enjoyed his career as a crane operator at the Savannah River Site. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 470. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family. Surviving in addition to his wife, Loretta H. Branham of Gaston; daughter Barbara "Bobbie" B. Wooten of Gaston; granddaughter, Amber C. Wooten; brother, Paul Cleveland Branham, Jr. (Sanong) of Gaston; also survived by a large and loving extended family. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie Elizabeth Branham
