Obituary of William E. Dorn

CAYCE—A memorial service for William E. Dorn, Jr., 69 of Cayce will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Rev. Mark Bredholt will officiate. The family will greet friends from 2:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Dorn passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2013. Born in Columbia, he was a son of Virginia Parkman Dorn and the late William Edwin Dorn, Sr. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from SCE&G after many years of devoted service. Surviving in addition to his mother, is his son, William A. Dorn of Lexington; daughter, Jennie A. Dorn (Charles W. Dickerson, Jr.) of Lexington; two grandchildren, Brandon Dickerson and Raegan Dickerson; sisters, Gayle Stone of Lexington and Cheryl Johnson (Steve) of Columbia; brother, Steve Dorn and many loving nieces and nephews.
