Obituary of Patricia Ann Kaigler

COLUMBIA— Visitation for Patricia Ann Kaigler, 74, will be held at Thompson Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, July 27, 2013. Memorial Service for Mrs. Kaigler will be held at Denny Terrace Baptist Church, 6324 Dorchester Lane, Columbia, SC 29204 at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, July 28, 2013. Dr. Louie McDonald will officiate and Mrs. Trish Ellington will deliver the eulogy. Mrs. Patricia Ann Kaigler was called to heaven by her God on July 26, 2013. She was born on July 5, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Homer Grecio Gunter and the late Jessie Mae Whittle Gunter. Patricia was involved in many of the church functions; she was a member of the choir, the flower committee, the kitchen committee, WMU and the Food Co-op for the community. Mrs. Kaigler was the anchor for her husband and family and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Mrs. Kaigler is survived by her husband of 54 years, Rev. Frederick Kaigler, Pastor of Denny Terrace Baptist Church; four children, Kathy Cockerham of Rock Hill, Deborah A. McGovern (Todd) of Prosperity, John Kaigler (Kris) of Columbia and Linda Waters of Summerville; five grandchildren, Chris & Bryan Cockerham and Nicole, Aric and Matthew Waters; brother, Jerry Gunter ; sister, Sandra McFaddin.
