Obituary of Bettie S. Loggins

Bettie Schrimsher Loggins, 80, of Columbia passed away Friday, July 26, 2013, at Providence Hospital Northeast. Born Wednesday, July 19, 1933 in Athens, GA, she was the daughter of Richard Columbus and Ouida (Jennings) Schrimsher. She was a member of Lower Richland Church of Christ, and retired as Office Manager from Dr. Robert Berger's office after 40 years of dedicated service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of more than 35 years, Gene Douglas Loggins. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela L. Berry (Fred, Sr.), of Columbia; two sons, Michael G. Loggins (Patt), of Charleston, and Perry D. Loggins, of Cayce; six grandchildren, Fred, Jr., Amanda, Matthew, Katherine, Kerry and Michael; one great grandson, Price; two brothers, both of Alabama; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M., on Sunday, July 28, 2013, at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at the funeral home.
