Obituary of Mary Annie Davis

WEST COLUMBIA-Graveside service for Mary Annie Davis, 87, of West Columbia, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 5, 2013 in Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agape Senior Foundation, 1053 Center Street, West Columbia, SC 29169. Mrs. Davis, widow of the late J. LaBruce Davis, died Tuesday, July 30, 2013. Born in Fairview, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Rhonvie S. and Kate Taylor Smith. She was a former member of Line Street Baptist Church. Mrs. Davis was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who enjoyed crocheting and gardening. Surviving are her daughter, Diane Dukes (Gus) of West Columbia; son, Billy Davis (Lynne) of Cayce; four grandchildren, Corey Dukes (Shannon), Timmy Dukes, Amanda Leffel (Tim) and Austin Davis; one great-grandson, Jericho Leffel; sister, Rachel Price of Lexington; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Myrtle Sharpe and brother, Carroll Smith.
