Obituary of Hasell Brazell

SIMPSONVILLE—Hasell Brazell, 90, formerly of Columbia, SC, entered into rest, Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at the McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville. Born Tuesday, January 9, 1923 in Richland County he was a son of the late Tolten and Scottie Victoria Brazell. Mr. was also a former member for over 40 years of St. Martin's in the Field Episcopal Church. He was a supervisor with AT&T and Southern Bell for 37 years of dedicated service he retired. Mr. Brazell attended Clemson University and was a veteran of the United State Marine Corps and was honorably discharged as a staff sergeant with many years in communications. In addition to his parents, Mr. Brazell was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Lee Brazell, with who he shared a devoted and blessed union as well as a nephew, Ray Kelly. He is survived by three daughters, Patricia Anne Brazell of Simpsonville, Jeanette L. Wiebel of Piedmont and Deborah Susan Simmons of Simpsonville; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2013 in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209. The Reverend Sally Johnston will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, August 9, 2013, at Greenlawn Funeral Home.
