Obituary of Hildegard Napier

GASTON—A memorial service for Hildegard Napier, 84, of Gaston, will be held on Friday, August 16th at 5:00 pm at Harmony Baptist Church, 1959 Woodtrail Drive in Gaston. The family will greet friends following the memorial service at the church. Mrs. Napier passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2013. Born in Bamberg, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Paul Popp and Teresia Schuelein Popp and was also predeceased by a brother, Kurt Pfister of Germany. Words can't express the depth of love, care and compassion she tirelessly showed to her family every day. Her generous spirit and sense of humor will be forever remembered and cherished. Her love of family will live on through her children and grandchildren and even though she will be missed terribly, Heaven gained an Angel the moment she moved on. Surviving are her sons, Charles Gabe Napier and his wife Jane, of Cayce and Mark A. Napier and his wife Tina, of Gaston; daughter, Michele T. Napier of Gaston; four grandchildren, Anthony L. Napier, Andrew J., Matthew C. and Candace Maria, all of Gaston. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation, 3223 Sunset Blvd., Ste. 100, West Columbia, SC 29169.
