Obituary of William Henry Ferrell

HOPKINS-William Henry Ferrell, 71, of Hopkins, entered into rest Saturday, August 17, 2013, at his home. Born Sunday, January 4, 1942 in Wilson County, NC, he was a son of the late Elton Raymond and Sarah Gertrude (Johnson) Ferrell. A veteran of the US Army, Mr. Ferrell was an Aviation Mechanic and retired from Eagle Aviation. He was also a member of the Scottish Rites, Shriners and was a Free Mason for more than 40 years. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ferrell was preceded in death by his wife of more than 40 years, Christine T. (Krickle) Ferrell; and two brothers, Charles and R. W. Ferrell. He is survived by two sons, William Edward and Ira Lee Ferrell, both of Hopkins; five sisters, Barbara Rose, "Goose," Audrey, Suzie and "Shugg"; four brothers, Gene, Herman, Michael and Glenn; three grandchildren, Christina, Samantha and William; two great grandchildren, Ariel and Gabe; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 23, 2013, at 1:00 P.M., in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC.
