Obituary of Marguerite Rose Hayes

COLUMBIA-Marguerite Rose Hayes, 78, of Columbia, passed away Monday, August 19, 2013. Born on January 10, 1935 in High Point, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Lester Eli and Annie Rose Caldwell Hayes. Ms. Hayes attended Catawba College in Salisbury, N.C. and Midlands Technical College in Columbia. She was a teacher of ballroom dancing at the Arthur Murray Studios in Columbia and in other cities. She is survived by her sister, Nancy Jane Hayes Washington of Columbia. Ms. Hayes' ashes will be inurned in St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church Columbarium in Forest Acres. The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to the nurses, doctors and other staff members at Palmetto Health Richland Heart Hospital for their kind and compassionate care of Ms. Hayes during her final illness.
