Obituary of Robert Lee Marsh

LEXINGTON-Graveside services for Robert Lee Marsh, 90, of Lexington, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 23, 2013 at Woodridge Memorial Park. Reverend Mark Bredholt will officiate. Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia is in charge. Mr. Marsh, widower of the late Dorothy Dent Marsh of 59 years, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2013. Born in Columbia, SC, he was the son of the late Macon and Pearl Taylor Marsh. He was a loving and kind husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother who enjoyed quiet time and solitude. He also enjoyed reading. He retired from Pacific Mills after 42 years of dedicated service. He was a proud United States Army veteran who served in the Pacific Theatre during WWII. He survived by his daughter, Marie Harbin (Steve) of West Columbia; sons, Robert Lee "Bob" Marsh, Jr. of Columbia and Donnie R. Marsh of Lexington; two grandchildren, Jeff Marsh (Connie) of Chicago, IL and Tracy Marsh of Columbia; and twin great-granddaughters, Avery and Evelyn.
