Obituary of Betty M. Brasfield

COLUMBIA-Memorial services for Betty M. Brasfield, 82, of Columbia, will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Chaplain Brett DeYoung will officiate. The family will greet friends from 3-4 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Greenlawn Funeral Home is assisting the family. Ms. Brasfield died Thursday, August 22, 2013. Born in Newberry, SC, she was a daughter of the late Frank Smith and Betty Thomas Mosley. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who devoted her life to her children and family. She also enjoyed reading scripture daily, gardening and the outdoors. She is survived by her sons, Rodney Brasfield (Toni) of Lexington, Gary Brasfield of Fairview, NC and Larry Brasfield (Tammie) of Columbia; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and sister, Helen Mosley Prim of Lexington. The family would like to sincerely thank everyone who was involved in our mother's care.
