Obituary of Clara Alice Goldson Hulon

WEST COLUMBIA—Funeral services for Clara Alice Goldson Hulon, 85, of West Columbia, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Platt Springs United Methodist Church. Rev. Becky Shirley will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will greet friends from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Platt Springs United Methodist Church, 3215 Platt Springs Road, West Columbia, SC 29170. Mrs. Hulon, beloved wife of 53 years to the late Heyward Hulon, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2013. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late James David Goldson and Pearl Huggins Goldson. She was a 60 year charter member of Platt Springs United Methodist Church. She was an extraordinarily loving and giving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who was devoted to her family and her church. Surviving are her daughter, Pamela Hulon Leclerc; sister, Margaret Holladay; grandchildren, Nicholas Leclerc, Lori Leclerc (Rory Helms) and Scott Leclerc; great-grandchildren, Rylen and Rowen Helms; son-in-law, Richard Leclerc and nephew, Sonny Hulon.
