Obituary of Peggy Sandra Wooley Windham

WEST COLUMBIA—Peggy Sandra Wooley Windham went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, October 2, 2013. She was born in Charleston, SC on April 19, 1936 to the late Leon Edward Wooley and Lerlene Smoak Wooley. She was a 1954 graduate of Rivers High School. Mrs. Windham is survived by her husband of 58 years, William M. Windham; son William M. Windham, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Holly Windham; 3 grandchildren, Megan Elizabeth Windham Gemignant, Aaron Christopher Windham, Matthew Emory Windham and a great-grandson, Dylan Bryce Windham and a brother, Leon Edward Wooley, Jr. of Aiken, SC. Mrs. Windham attended Citadel Square Baptist Church in Charleston, SC, from cradle to 18 years of age. She attends Northside Baptist Church in West Columbia, where she is was Sunday School teacher, worked with The Outreach Center Mission Columbia, was a member of Friendship Bible Class and dearly loves the Lord Jesus Christ. She loved Christmas and shared the holiday with her family and friends. Funeral services for Peggy will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Northside Baptist Church with burial at 2:00 p.m. in Live Oak Cemetery, 3093 Ashley River Road, Charleston, SC 29414. The family will greet friends from 9-10 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Rev. Dr. Steve Cloud, Rev. Steve Allen and Rev. Rocky Purvis will officiate. The Friendship Bible Class is invited to serve as honorary pallbearers and The Brotherhood are invited to be pallbearers. We wish to thank Dr. Frampton Henderson, Dr. Stanley Juk and the wonderful ladies of Heartstrings Hospice for their compassion and care. "Our Heavenly Father has called most wonderful Angel home."
