Obituary of Marion Jeanne Florkiewicz Floyd

LEXINGTON—Funeral services for Marion Jeanne Florkiewicz Floyd, 85, of Lexington, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Dr. Mark Bredholt will officiate. Burial will follow in Woodridge Memorial Park. The family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, October 5, 2013 at the funeral home. Mrs. Floyd passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2013. Born in Schenectady, NY, she was the daughter of the late Robert K. Wickham and Mary Anna Hackert Wickham. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who loved to crochet, knit and bake. Surviving are her children, Mary Johnson, Carol Norwood (Ronald) of Oveido, FL, Thomas H. Florkiewicz (Carol) of Southport, NC and Anne Castro (O.G.) of Lexington, SC; grandchildren, Ronald Norwood, Jr., Stacy Renee Norwood, Ariel R. Florkiewicz, Jennifer C. SanQuintin and Erick G. Castro; great-grandchildren, Bella, Trine, Adam, Claire, Layla, Donovan, Natalie and Brianna; along with a large and loving extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Florkiewicz and a son, Edward J. Florkiewicz, Jr.
