Obituary of Leonard Dale Jeffcoat

LEXINGTON-Funeral service for Leonard Dale Jeffcoat, 68, of Lexington, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Nazareth Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pastor Michael Watson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12-1 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Nazareth Lutheran Church, General Fund, 1800 Nazareth Road, Lexington, SC 29073. Mr. Jeffcoat passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2013. Born in Lexington, SC, he was a son of Agnes Lucille McCartha Jeffcoat and the late Dewey Leonard Jeffcoat. Surviving in addition to his mother are his, daughter, Billie Rue Stearns (Charles) of Gaston; son Michael Dale Jeffcoat (Angie) of Texas and George "Gene" Thomas of Cayce; two grandchildren, Brittany Caroline Rue Rister (Berley) of Lynchburg, VA and Dakota Dale Campbell of Gaston; and two great-grandchildren, James Page Campbell and Berley Livingston Rister, IV; sister, Aliza L. Bolton (James) of Lexington; and brother, Lawrence D. Jeffcoat of Lexington. He was preceded in death by his brother, Alfred C. Jeffcoat.
